Where Clay meets Coffee

From the potter's wheel to your morning table — artisan ceramic drinkware handcrafted by local Indian potters. Every sip tells a story of earth, fire, and human hands.

Born from Earth, Shaped by Hands

Indian potter at work

Cerappucchino was born from a simple belief — your daily cup of coffee deserves to be held in something made with love, not mass-produced in a factory.

We partner with local artisan potters across India — families who have practiced this craft for generations. By bringing their work to your table, we help preserve a dying art form while giving these artisans a sustainable livelihood.

Every piece is hand-thrown, hand-glazed, and kiln-fired — no two are exactly alike. When you hold a Cerappucchino mug, you hold someone's craft, their story, their art.

The Journey of Every Piece

Each Cerappucchino piece travels through six stages over 7–10 days, shaped entirely by human hands and ancient techniques.

Sourcing the Earth
01

Sourcing the Earth

Our potters hand-select natural clay from local riverbeds and mineral-rich soil across India. The clay is cleaned, soaked, and aged — sometimes for weeks — until it reaches the perfect consistency for shaping.

Kneading & Wedging
02

Kneading & Wedging

Before shaping begins, the clay is kneaded by hand — a process called wedging. Artisans press, fold, and roll the clay for 20–30 minutes, removing air bubbles and creating a smooth, crack-free texture.

Throwing on the Wheel
03

Throwing on the Wheel

Seated at a traditional potter's wheel — many still hand-spun in villages across Rajasthan — the potter centers the clay and shapes it by touch alone. A mug takes minutes, but the skill behind those minutes took years to master.

Drying & Bisque Fire
04

Drying & Bisque Fire

Each piece air-dries for 2–3 days, then enters the kiln for bisque firing at 900°C. This transforms fragile clay into strong bisqueware. Our potters use traditional wood-fired kilns that give each piece subtle, unique character.

Glazing by Hand
05

Glazing by Hand

Artisans mix natural mineral glazes — iron oxide for browns, cobalt for blues, copper for greens — and apply them by brush, dipping, or pouring. The glaze creates the beautiful finish and makes each piece food-safe and waterproof.

Final Fire & Born
06

Final Fire & Born

Glazed pieces return to the kiln at 1200–1280°C. Clay and glaze fuse permanently into stoneware. When the kiln cools over a full day, the door opens to reveal finished pieces — each one a miracle of earth, water, fire, and human hands.

"From raw earth to your morning ritual — 7 days, 6 stages, 2 skilled hands."
